Every Duck Lander call ships with a #1 Core reed, engraving down. The Core is our base reed — every other style is built off it. From there, the other cuts either add rasp or take it away compared to the Core.
No cutting. No trimming. No guessing at the tailgate. The reeds come ready to run, laser cut, stepped lengths, five different styles. You swap and hunt.

How to Run Them
Engraving down. Engraving up. It matters.
This is the first thing to understand. The direction you run the reed changes the sound of the call. Every call ships engraving down — that's your starting point. Flip it and you get a completely different sound out of the same reed.

The Five Styles

Every style is laser cut. No scissors. No guessing. Each one is built off the Core and tuned to give you a specific sound profile. Start with the Core that ships with your call, then work outward from there.

HD Reed
A blend of mid hold and rasp. HD Reeds give callers a balanced mix of rasp and whine without going too far either direction. Sizes 1–8.
Raspy
Dagger Reed
Designed for maximum rasp. DAGGER Reeds add extra grit and aggression for callers who want a choppier sound with more edge. Sizes 1–3.
Base Reed — Ships with every call
Core Reed
The all around reed for all callers. Balanced in rasp and hold, CORE Reeds are the go-to starting point for most callers. Sizes 1–8.
Whiney
Bullet Reed
Built for maximum hold and whine. BULLET Reeds offer that raspy whiney sound the softer callers go for. Sizes 1–4.
Less Air
Micro Reed
The lightest running reed in the lineup. MICRO Reeds have the same sound profile as the Core reeds. They take less air to run. Sizes 1–3.
